2. Visit the gizmo on Osmosis. Log onto http://www.explorelearning.com/

3. Either using your previous logon details or using the class code: JDX4BXFHJQ log onto your class.

4. Select the Osmosis gizmo from the list.

5. Explore using the gizmo to understand osmosis and in your notes draw a before and after diagram like we did for Diffusion.

6. Complete the questions below the gizmo.

I have access to see who has completed the questions and these people will be able to participate in the lab next class.

Scienc Fair Display

Your display for the Science Fair has to the best you can make it.

Here are some links to how to make a good display:

http://school.discoveryeducation.com/sciencefaircentral/Science-Fair-Presentations/How-to-Create-a-Winning-Science-Fair-Display-Board.html

Remember the space you will have will be 2 desks.

Also you will need to present your work to the judges. This must be a natural presentation so there is no need to learn a script. You will simply talk them through your poster (the scientific method) and then display a part of your experiment to them (this is the interactive part).

Make sure they reflect all the hard work you have put into your project.

Help name the Rhino

Hi Everyone,
We have been asked to assist in the naming of a baby Rhino born at the Blair Drummond Safari park in Scotland.

The White Rhino is an extremely endangered species and so the work the safari park is doing is very important to assist in the survival of this species.

The baby white rhino (who is a girl) was born during the coldest winter in Scotland for 30 years, when there was snowfalls just like Quebec experiences. It is because of this that the safari park has asked for our assistance as they would like to name her after the wintery conditions, something you all know lots about.

Here is the link to the live webcam of the baby white rhino and her mum, Dorothy:

If you would like to see any further information on the safari park here is a link:

So far here are some of your suggestions for names:

Fleur de Lys - William Irving
Snowflake - Melissa Tanguay
Snowfie - Edward Smith

Keep them coming!
